Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie. ~Jim Davis

River Station
This is my first restaurant review. This past weekend I visited my love in Plesant Valley, NY. we walked (most of the way) of the Walkway over the Hudson. It was a beautiful sight. Then we headed to the River Station a short drive from the Walkway. A convenient parking lot was located in the rear of the restaurant. We dined outside on the patio. Wait staff was pleasant. Food was very good, fresh, & hot. I got pulled pork and Jenna got the California club. Mine came with french fries and Jenna's came with macaroni salad. She doesn't even eat macaroni salad but tried and enjoyed it! Overall a good atmosphere, a great view and delicious food all reasonably priced!
THE VIEW
THE FOOD : Tangy pulled pork on garlic club roll topped with cheddar & crispy onions served with fries.

Here's a wordy food post
My goal this summer (and everyday) is too save money for the future. An easy way that i got use to was not eating out all the time. I can count on one hand how many times I purchased food from 'out'.
Actually this is what I've eaten out this summer:
-Subway (twice)
-burger king (once)
-mcdonalds (once)
In all instances I spent no more than 5-10 bucks and were bought when there was no food in the house, meeting up with a friend for lunch, celebrating my last day of chemistry or blowing some time before my cousin's dance performance at camp. Oh and I got a free ice coffee from Starbucks from a friend who worked there and dunkin donuts Picture by Jenna
ice coffee when it was 100 degrees outside once. All necessary purchases!
This is both a healthier alternative and an educational experience about cooking and preparing meals for myself. An easy way that I've been accomplishing this due to:
-making my own ice coffees with my moms kureg.
-minimal food shopping on my own
-eating whatever my mom and grandma make. (which is always great)
-making my own breakfast in the morning
Overall I really want to keep these money saving tips up when I go back to school. Don't get me wrong, I was deffinetly craving chocolate chip cookies and was more than able to run out to shoprite and purchase a nearly $4.00 package, but I sucked it up and ate some greek yogurt that has been in the fridge. I'm excited this has worked out so well, even though this weekend my mom is going away so undoubtedly I will indulge in some take-out. (especialy since I'm going to see the love of my life on Saturday and get crazy :] )
